Both Kyrgyzstan and South Korea are located in Asia, however, Kyrgyzstan is a country in Central Asia, while South Korea is on the Korean Peninsula. You may think it doesn’t really matter as both countries are in Asia. But, flight from one country to another will take you about 7 hours! No jokes! Those two are far from each other (relatively far) :)

A Kyrgyzstan is at the middle of Eurasia, there is not an access to the sea in, which is not a case for South Korea. It is mostly surrounded by water and has 2,413 kilometers (1,499 mi) of coastline.

More than three-quarters of the territory of Kyrgyzstan is mountains. Victory Peak (Pobeda Peak), 7439 meters high, is the highest point of the country (the most northern mountain over 7,000 meters high on the ground/ from the side of China Victory Peak is called the Tomur mountain)(I live there J). Regarding Korean landscape: the southern and western parts of Korea are plains, while the eastern and the northern parts are mountainous. The highest mountain in Korea is Baekdusan (2,744m). When I came to Korea for the first time, I was told that Korean people like hiking, however, Korean mountains would be called hills in Kyrgyzstan simply because they are not that high. No offences :)

I was truly shocked with the population of South Korea (more than 51.356.000 people) as in Kyrgyzstan we barely make approximately 6.227.000 J There are 8 times more people living in Korea! WOW!!! And all these are despite the territory differences: area of South Korea is 100,363 sq. km and Kyrgyzstan is 198.5 sq. km. Kyrgyzstan is TWICE bigger…. No comments...

The last but not the least difference is flags… Nothing in common :) Google it!
