The popular international publisher Lonely Planet has presented a rating of the best travel destinations 'Best in Travel', which are worth visiting in 2020.

The rating is divided into four categories - 10 countries, 10 regions, 10 cities and 10 most advantageous offers. Each of the listed areas was evaluated by the publisher's experts on the basis of three factors: relevance, unique impressions and instant attractiveness of the place.

In the category of regions, the first place is given to that part of the Great Silk Road that passes through Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan.

According to Lonely Planet, these regions are causing growing interest among tourists, and entrance to the countries, through which this stretch of the Silk Road passes, can be made either by electronic visa or no visa is required at all.

In second place is the administrative area of Marche on the coast of Italy. The third leader of the category is the Tohoku region on the Japanese island of Honshu.

Last year, Lonely Planet put Kyrgyzstan on the list of ten best travel countries. Then the republic took fifth place in the ranking.
